Day 9 - Glamazon

Hi All,

We've finished shooting Essential Looks: '111 Collection' now and have ended on a real high. The location for our last day was the Pan Am Lounge in Berlin which was a perfect backdrop for our glamorous, 70's inspired look - 'Glamazon'.  I now cannot wait to get back to Hamburg to start working on the design and layouts for this next collection. Hope you've enjoyed the blog and thanks for all the positive emails and comments. Day 8 - 'Rounded Form' - Nele, Vanessa and Carmen

Beautifully sculpted hair and rich vibrant colours on all three models, shot by Sabine in a mood lighting which captured the spirit of the trend.  Our final day tomorrow - we are on location in Pan - Am lounge - should be amazing... Bye for now.  Backstage clip below:

DAY 7 - Eva-Maria '80s Dance' / Sonja & Antje - 'Sunday Best'

Hi Everyone,

Very good day again with some superb footage for the Mood Film and amazingly colourful shots of our 'Sunday Best' girls.  Eva-Maria our '80s Dance' model looked great in the video scenes and sensational in the photo set, especially as today was her first day modelling!

Day 6 - First Day of EL Collection Shoot

Hi,

Just finished our first day of shooting for the '111 Collection'. A really great day. Our two '80's Dance' models, Sophie and Julia, looked fantastic - as did Mayuko for 'Sunday Best'. I've done a quick round of the studio on camera for you today so you can see everything that's going on and the people involved. Catch up with you again tomorrow.

DAY 4 - Sunday Best, Glamazon & 80's Dance

Massimo, Lesley and Tom yet again created three beautiful looks today.

Mayuko, our model for Sunday Best, wears a new hair cut from Massimo with Lesley applying colour with a 'wow' factor result - everyone will love doing this technique.

Cosima, the striking 'Glamazon' model looked modern and glamorous with a precision shaped cut that is both strong yet feminine, whilst Lesley's colour simply said... sophisticated.

Finally Julia for "80s Dance" had a haircut and colour that screamed 2009 - young, cool and with lots of attitude.

The Step by Steps are finished. Tomorrow is light set-up for the main collection shoot.

14 hours today. Everyone tired but happy.  More on Sunday...

DAY3 - A "Sunday Best" dressing and two "Glamazons"

Massimo created a strong dressing look for our Sunday Best model Antje. 

Tom cut our male model Andre's hair into a great looking, modern, masculine shape. 

Lesley's creative colouring looked amazing on Caroline, our "Glamazon" model, using the latest colouring technique called "Colour Dipping".

The collection is really coming together now.  We cannot believe tomorrow is our final day of Step by Steps before we move onto the main collection shoot.

DAY 2 - Sophie and Eva-Maria for 80s Dance and Sonja for Sunday Best...

Today was brilliant with really dynamic haircuts and colours. Sophie looked stunning with her Igora Royal colour technique created by Lesley, with Massimo cutting an equally beautiful shape using her natural wave for maximum effect.

Eva-Maria is simply a glowing example of what can be achieved with Igora Vibrance - perfect colouring from Lesley complemented by Tom's modern "80's Dance" haircut.

Finally, both Tom and Lesley brought out the "best" in Sonja's "Sunday Best" look with a soft, feminine, modern haircut using the new ESSENSITY colours. The result - a rich, shiny finished look.

Here's a further selection of stills from Day 2... Have been in studio for 13 hours now - video will follow tomorrow as the team need a well earned beer.  Bye for now.

Day 1 - The Shoot Begins...

The four key trends we have identified as the hottest looks for Spring Summer 2009 are Rounded Form, 80's Dance, Sunday Best and Glamazon. More news will follow on the trends as will some video clips (once I have worked out how to edit them). In the meantime, hope you enjoy some still shots from our first day in Berlin...
